Scholarships for Current MassBay Students

If you are enrolled at MassBay for the current semester, you may apply for scholarships through Academic Works by searching for the app in OneLogin — MassBay single sign on.

You must be registered for classes in the semester, by the deadline, for your application to be considered. After completing the General Application, you will be able to view and apply for the scholarships offered in a particular semester. Each scholarship has unique criteria and requirements.

The deadline for submitting scholarship applications for spring 2023 is Friday, January 6, 2023.

Please be advised that scholarship money is disbursed to students as a reimbursement, after you have enrolled and paid your semester bill.

AWARD: $500

Angelina Grimaldi Cioffari & Vincent Grimaldi Cioffari Scholarship
Angelina Grimaldi Cioffari was a professor of French, Spanish, and Italian at MassBay Community College from 1964-1980. Her son, Vincent, established the scholarship in her memory to support a student who demonstrates high academic success at MassBay.

 

AWARD: $500

Automotive Technology Scholarships
The Automotive Technology Scholarship was established to assist students with tuition, tools and/or books.

 

AWARD: $400

Biotechnology Scholarship for First Generation Scientists
The Biotechnology Scholarship for First Generation Scientists was created through the generosity of MassBay professor Dr. Nirmal Singh.

 

AWARD: $1,000

Cybersecurity Scholarship (full-time student)
The Cybersecurity Scholarship is funded by the generous sponsors of the Information Security Summit established by Towerwall.

 

AWARD: $1,000

Cybersecurity Scholarship (part-time student)
The Cybersecurity Scholarship was created and is funded by the generous sponsors of the Information Security Summit established by Towerwall.

 

AWARD: $500

DACA Scholarship
The DACA Scholarship fund was created and is supported through gifts to the MassBay Community College Foundation from alumni and friends.

 

AWARD: $2,000.00

The Debi Prasad Sodhani International Student Scholarship
The Debi Prasad Sodhani International Student Scholarship was established to support MassBay Community College International students in good academic standing at the College, who have completed 6 or more credits at MassBay.

 

AWARD: $500

Gabriel Bardo Scholarship
In memory of a beloved nephew, the Gabriel Bardo Scholarship was created to recognize the importance of kindness.

 

AWARD: $750

The Boston Marathon Scholarship
The Boston Marathon Scholarship was established to support students pursuing an associate degree at MassBay Community College.

 

AWARD: $250-$2,000

Health Sciences Scholarship
The Health Sciences Scholarship was established to support students pursuing a career in Health Sciences at MassBay.

 

AWARD: $500

The Johnny Appleseed Scholarship
The Johnny Appleseed Scholarship awards students from the North Central Massachusetts area as they pursue an education at MassBay Community College.

 

AWARD: $500-$750

The Keshava-Gandhi Family Scholarship
The Keshava-Gandhi Family Scholarship is for a self-supporting or an immigrant or international student who demonstrates financial need, but doesn’t qualify for financial assistance. Students must have a declared STEM major, pursuing an Associates Degree or Certificate.

 

AWARD: $1,000

Krystle Campbell Scholarship
The Krystle Campbell Scholarship was established in honor of this MassBay alum who lost her life in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. The scholarship supports a business major pursuing an associate degree at MassBay Community College.

Louise Mayer Scholarship
The Louise Mayer Scholarship was established by Frederick and Denise Mayer to support students pursuing a career in the Health Care industry.

 

AWARD: $500

Marc Stanton Endowed Scholarship
The Marc Stanton Endowed Scholarship was created with gifts from friends and colleagues of Professor Marc Stanton, a beloved professor at MassBay. This scholarship is offered for the Spring semester only to students pursuing an associate degree or certificate in Criminal Justice.

Marilyn & Jay Sarles Scholarship
The Marilyn & Jay Sarles Scholarship awards the accomplishments of both full and part-time students, in good academic standing, who are residents of Massachusetts.

 

AWARD: $500

Richard P. Carbone Scholarship
The Richard P. Carbone Scholarship was established to support students are who interested in pursuing a college education.

 

AWARD: $500

Schrafft Charitable Trust Scholarship
The Schrafft Charitable Trust supports MassBay students who live in the City of Boston and/or graduated from a Boston High School.

 

AWARD: $500

Single Parent Scholarship
The Single Parent Scholarship was established to support a student who is a single parent with full/joint custody of minor child/children.

 

AWARD: $500

STEM Mentor Program Scholarship | All STEM Students
This scholarship supports a STEM Division student pursing an Associate Degree or Certificate. The student must be an active participant in the STEM Mentor Program.

 

AWARD: $500

STEM Mentor Program (SMP) Scholarship | International Student
This scholarship supports a STEM Division student who is an immigrant or international student pursing an Associate Degree or Certificate who is not eligible for federal financial aid. The student must be an active participant in the STEM Mentor Program.

 

AWARD: $500

STEM Mentor Program Scholarship | Science Majors
This scholarship supports a STEM Division student pursing an Associate Degree in a science major (Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences & Safety or General Studies (AS)). The student must be an active participant in the STEM Mentor Program.

 

AWARD: $500

STEM Mentor Program Scholarship | Self-supporting Student
This scholarship supports a STEM Division student who is self-supporting (not listed as a dependent on parent’s federal income tax and/or not receiving financial support from parents or guardians) and pursuing an Associate Degree or Certificate. The student must be an active participant in the STEM Mentor Program.

 

AWARD: $1,000

Virginia F. Sapienza Scholarship
The Virginia F. Sapienza Scholarship was established to support a student who is actively engaged in his/her/their art, as evidenced by relevant performance, display and/or publication endeavors, while attending MassBay Community College. This award is for students who are serious about their art, not necessarily attempting to earn a living by it. Virginia F. Sapienza was a long-time dedicated music professor at MassBay Community College.

 

AWARD: $1,000

The Thomas M. Britt, Jr. Scholarship
The Thomas M. Britt, Jr. Scholarship was established in honor of Mr. Britt, a member of the first MassBay graduating class in 1963, to support current MassBay students with the ambition to do well in college and earn a degree or certificate.

The Dr. Yves Salomon-Fernandez Scholarship
The Dr. Yves Salomon-Fernandez Scholarship was established by the MassBay Community College Foundation Board to honor Dr. Salomon-Fernandez for her commitment to MassBay Community College and its students.
