GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
Veterans receiving Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits must verify their enrollment monthly with the VA.
Enrollment verification can be done by either text or email. Students that opt out of the text option will automatically enrolled in email verification, as long as you have a valid email on file.
VA strongly recommends the text or email options. However, a student may also call the Education Call Center (ECC) at 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551) to verify enrollment.
Students who fail to submit enrollment verification for two consecutive months: MHA/kicker payments will be held until they verify their enrollment.
See this guide for more details:
Post-9/11 GI Bill® enrollment verification
Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients do not verify their attendance through WAVE.
Veterans or Military Students using Chapter 30, Chapter 1606, benefits must verify their enrollment each month with the Web Automated Veterans Enrollment (WAVE) system, or call .877-823-2378.
Each semester, in order to receive VA benefits, you should notify the Certifying Official of your continued enrollment and the number of credits you are taking. If, for whatever reason, you do not want to receive VA benefits, you must inform the Certifying Official of this fact.
The Certifying Official is responsible for verifying your attendance with VA at the beginning of your term.
