MassBay is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that celebrates the intersecting identities of its entire community. We affirm the identities and experiences of our LGBTQ+ and queer population and actively strive to raise awareness and knowledge on campus to promote belonging and well-being. The institution embraces its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, gender-expansive, and two-spirit indigenous populations.

MassBay Chosen First Name Policy
MassBay recognizes that members of our community may wish to identify themselves with a first name that differs from their legal name. The College’s chosen name policy strives to support self-identification and believes a chosen name can and should be used wherever possible in the course of college education. Students may use a chosen first name wherever a legal name is not required.
