Guest Student Registration Process

  1. Please review our Course Offerings Page to ensure that you have all necessary information for the course you would like to take. Select the term for which you would like to enroll, then browse our courses by subject and catalog number. Page two of the guest registration form will ask for the information for the course. For example, BI 101: General Biology I w/Lab Section 001 / Class Nbr 3006 is how a class will appear on the course offerings page. On the registration page, the Class Nbr box is the four-digit code found where it says Class Nbr (3006). The Title box is for the title of the course (General Biology I w/Lab). The Subject box is for the course number (101). The Section box is for the section number (001).

  2. On page two of the form, you may self-certify that you have completed the required requisite(s) within the Self-Certification of Pre-Requisite section (transcript is not required). If you have any questions on how to meet a prerequisite, please visit our Placement Requirements Page.

  3. All guest student registration forms must be submitted directly from the student. Please do not submit a guest registration form on behalf of someone else.

Please use the Course Offerings Page to complete the Guest Student Registration Form. If you have any questions, contact our office email address: registrar@massbay.edu
Please be aware that guest students are not eligible for federal financial aid or the Massachusetts free community college programs.

Once you submit the Guest Student Registration form, you will receive an automated email with the information of the course(s) for which you have submitted your registration request. This email is not confirmation of enrollment. Once your request is received, our office will process it within a few business days and send an email either with confirmation of enrollment or the reason(s) for which the enrollment could not be processed. If you have any questions on the enrollment process, you can reach out to us at registrar@massbay.edu

You will receive an email confirmation from our office if you have been enrolled in your requested course(s). In that email, you will find information on how to set up your email account, how to log into your Bay Navigator account, how to pay your bill, and information on our academic calendars. You can also find the links to that information below:

If your account has been deactivated due to inactivity and you remember your login credentials, you can log into your account on your own within a few hours of course enrollment once your account has been reactivated. If you do not remember your credentials, you can contact our Help Desk at (781) 239‑2440 or gethelp@massbay.edu.

You can visit our Student Accounts webpage for more information on how to pay your bill. Please keep in mind that guest students are not eligible for financial aid.

If you would like to drop a course, you can go to your Bay Navigator account and do the following:

  • Click on the Classes & Enrollment tile, then choose Enrollment: Drop Classes.
  • If there are multiple term options, choose the appropriate term for the course you would like to drop, then in the Select column, click the box for the course you would like to drop.
  • Once you have selected the course, click Drop Selected Classes.
  • Click Finish Dropping to bring you back to the View Results page to confirm that you have dropped the course

You may also send an email to registrar@massbay.edu using your MassBay email address to request to drop a course. You must provide the specific course information for your request to be processed.

Dropping a course before or during the Add/Drop period will result in a full refund of the course. The add/drop period can be found on the Academic Calendar for the given semester. If the course is dropped after the add/drop period has closed, this is a withdrawal and will result in a W grade. Please go to the Withdrawal and Refund Policy page for more information on refund details and dates.
