AUDITING A COURSE
Auditing a course allows students to attend classes regularly without receiving college credit. The course instructor determines the extent of a student's participation in class assignments.
To audit a course, students must designate audit status at the time of registration or request this status during the Add/Drop period through the Office of the Registrar. Once the Add/Drop period has passed, students cannot switch from audit status to receiving a letter grade.
Audited courses will be recorded on transcripts as "AU", and full payment is required.
MID-TERM/FINAL GRADES
Students can access their mid-term and final grades online through their Bay Navigator account. For a list of grades, an explanation of the grading system, and details on grade point average (GPA) calculation, please refer to the MassBay College Catalog.
WITHDRAWAL FROM COLLEGE/LEAVE OF ABSENCE PROCESS
Students who plan to withdraw from all classes for the semester must meet with the Dean of Students to complete the withdrawal or leave of absence process. To schedule a meeting, contact the Dean of Students Office at studentdevelopment@massbay.edu.
For details on financial responsibilities related to withdrawal, students should refer to the Withdrawal and Refund Policy Schedule. The Student Accounts Office can answer any questions regarding this policy.
Please Note: Withdrawing or taking a leave of absence may impact your Financial Aid awards, and adjustments to aid may occur as a result.
