Placement Testing

Students can satisfy the Placement Testing requirement if they have earned a 2.7 GPA in high school or have previously completed college-level coursework in English and Math.

Tuition Payment Plan

MassBay has partnered with Nelnet Campus Commerce on a Tuition Payment Plan to help you pay your bill in smaller installments. The Tuition Payment Plan is not a loan program. You have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed, and there is no credit check. However, there is a small non-refundable enrollment fee of $32 per semester to help administer the plan.

The Textbook Fund

THE SGA Textbook Fund

In response to escalating textbook costs, the Student Government Association at MassBay Community College established a student Textbook & Enrichment Fund. Funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters. SGA will open the Textbook Fund Application two (2) weeks prior to the first day of classes for the Fall and spring Semester. All students will receive an email sent to their MassBay email address on the day it opens.

Childcare Assistance

What is the Childcare Assistance Program?

The Childcare Assistance Program was established in 1992 by the Student Government Association and MassBay Community College. Assistance is available on a first-come, first–serve basis. Students enrolled in the program will be eligible to receive assistance based on College enrollment.

Three Massachusetts Bay Community College students are the recipients of the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship, the largest and most prestigious scholarship for community college students in the country.
