Yvette Velez

Yvette Velez joined the MassBay community in 2025 and serves as the Mentor Program Manager in Career Services, where she leads the development of the MassBay Mentor Program connecting students with alumni, faculty, staff, and industry professionals. Through this work, she helps students build professional networks, explore career pathways, and develop the skills and confidence needed for career success.

Before joining MassBay, Yvette spent over two decades at Suffolk University, where she held several roles including Associate Director of Community Partnerships and Director of Off Campus Housing. Her work focused on experiential learning, civic engagement, and building partnerships between universities and community organizations.
Yvette has a Bachelor of Art degree in Art and Psychology from Monmouth College, in Monmouth, Illinois, a Master of Education in Administration of Higher Education and a Certificate in Graphic Design from Suffolk University, Boston, Massachusetts.
