Health and Wellness Coordinator

Laura is the Health and Wellness Coordinator at Mass Bay Community College, where she started in January 2024. After years of working in education and the non-profit sector, she decided to focus fully on wellness - a passion she has always carried with her. Laura believes in supporting people through movement and takes a trauma-informed approach that honors each person’s unique journey.

A graduate of UMass Amherst (B.S. in Athletic Administration) and Cambridge College (M.Ed.), Laura is a lifelong learner in wellness. She became a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor in 2014 and earned a Holistic Health Coach Certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Using this expertise, she designed a Worksite Wellness Program for a local non-profit and developed Yo-Glow, a program that helps girls build healthy habits through yoga, mindfulness, and play.

Laura has taught yoga in schools, senior centers, worksites, and studios around Greater Boston. At Mass Bay, she aims to create a supportive environment for healing and growth, encouraging students to explore wellness in their lives. She feels strongly that wellness work aligns naturally with trauma work because it invites people to reconnect with their bodies, regain a sense of safety, and nurture their own healing path.
