WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. (May 16, 2025) — Towerwall Inc., a leading cybersecurity firm headquartered in Framingham, MA, has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering education and supporting the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by presenting MassBay Community College President David Podell with a generous donation of $7,500 for cybersecurity student scholarships. This contribution marks another significant milestone in MassBay’s ongoing partnership with Towerwall and its CEO, Michelle Drolet, which spans 15 years and has raised more than $72,500 for student scholarships.
“We are deeply grateful for Towerwall’s longstanding support of our institution and students,” MassBay President David Podell. “Their impact extends far beyond generous financial contributions — they are a cornerstone of our annual Cyber Security Summit, create invaluable networking and learning opportunities for IT professionals, and provide internships that give our students the real-world experience essential to launching successful careers. Towerwall’s unwavering commitment to our community and students is building a legacy that will resonate for generations.”
The cybersecurity scholarships, awarded in $1,000 increments, have already empowered 38 students to continue their education. With this latest donation, an additional seven students will receive vital financial support, enabling them to focus on their studies without the financial burden.
“MassBay and Towerwall have a great partnership that helps us do some really impactful things — like providing Cyber Scholarships,” said Towerwall, Inc. CEO Michelle Drolet. “Thanks to the proceeds from our Annual Cybersecurity Summit, we’re able to bring together industry leaders, vendor partners, and an amazing lineup of speakers, while also giving back. This year, we’re proud to donate $7,500 to support scholarships for students in the Cybersecurity program. It really does take a village. I’m so proud of the work MassBay is doing and the talented professionals they’re preparing to take on the challenges of the cybersecurity world.”
Reflecting on the impact of the scholarship, one cybersecurity student shared, “This scholarship has significantly alleviated my family’s financial burdens, allowing me to dedicate myself fully to my studies without worrying about how to cover expenses. I hope that one day I will also be able to help struggling students reach their goals in higher education by assisting them in the same way that I have been supported.”
Towerwall and MassBay will host the 14th Annual Cybersecurity Summit on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 7:30am–1:30pm on the MassBay Wellesley Hills campus (50 Oakland Street).
