We offer several sources of financial assistance to help you pay for college. In order to determine your eligibility, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the school year you are planning to enroll at MassBay. The FAFSA is located online at fafsa.gov. Be sure to add MassBay Community College's Federal school code number: 002171.

Get help with the FAFSA when it is convenient for you on your cell phone!  Our FAFSA experts at uAspire are standing by to help you start, complete, and submit your FAFSA. Simply text "MassBay" to 857-309-2942.

All new students must meet our placement requirements before registering for classes.

If you took English and math at your previous college you will receive an invitation to orientation once your official college transcript has been received and reviewed.

If you have not yet taken college-level English or math you can satisfy the placement requirements any of these ways:

Once you have satisfied the placement requirements you will receive an email invitation to SOAR, MassBay's Student Orientation Advising, & Registration.

Note:  A few of our programs do have a secondary selective admissions process — including most of our Health Sciences programs, all of our Automotive Technology programs, and our Direct Support Certificate.
