MassBay alumnus Reggie Pierre-Charles worked at MassBay for more than 20 years.

Kara M. Lucciola, J.D.

Kara M. Lucciola, J.D., is a Professor of Legal Studies and Criminal Justice. Some of her MassBay courses include Business Law, Criminal Law, Cybercrime, and Criminal Evidence. Professor Lucciola is the Coordinator of MassBay’s Cyber Innovation Initiative, and is a member of the MassCyberCenter’s Working and Education Group.

Nirmal Singh, Ph.D.

Dr. Nirmal Singh, MassBay Community College’s Chair of the Biotechnology Department and founding Director/Principal Investigator of the Center for Therapeutics and Genomics Training at MassBay, is a renowned scientist with a remarkable list of accomplishments and patented discoveries, including identification of a crucial gene element called “ISS-N1” in the Human Survival Motor Neuron gene. This vital discovery led to the first FDA-approved treatment for the dreaded children’s disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

Scott Bushway

Scott Bushway recently retired from the Walpole, MA Police Department as the deputy chief of police where he served 32 years in law enforcement, progressing through the ranks of patrolman, detective, patrol sergeant, detective sergeant, lieutenant and deputy chief of police.

As deputy chief, he managed the daily operation of the police department, where his duties included grant writing, conducting internal investigations and supervising the bureau of criminal investigation and juvenile services.
