CPR Training

CPR training at MassBay MassBay Community College offers Basic Life Support Training. Do you need an initial or renewal healthcare professional CPR course? Register today to earn your American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification!

This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course is intended for both initial and renewal BLS training.

This course covers the following topics: High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants; the AHA Chain of Survival; use of an AED; effective ventilations using a barrier device; importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR; relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants. In this Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations.

Students must successfully complete BLS skills practice and skills testing as well as a written exam in order to receive a completion card.

All classes are held on the Framingham Campus

Textbook and pocket mask/adaptor are required for this class (available at the Wellesley Hills bookstore). Please wear appropriate clothing, as class practice will take place on the floor. Students who successfully complete the course will be issued an electronic BLS card valid for 2 years (emailed to you within 2 weeks of CPR course completion).
