Veterans Services at MassBay

Your dreams. Our mission.

Veterans Affairs

Massachusetts Bay Community College is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs to certify students eligible to receive V.A. benefits.  Eligible veterans may apply for educational benefits for full, three-quarter or part-time enrollment.

Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces, their dependents and Reservists may be eligible for Veterans Administration (V.A.) education benefits as a result of their service.

The Massachusetts National Guard's 100% Tuition and Fee Reimbursement Program waives the cost of tuition and fees for Massachusetts Guard Soldiers and Airmen attending a Massachusetts State college, university, or community college program that is funded by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education.

Armed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA) is a benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Congress has given each service the ability to pay up to 100% for the tuition expenses of its members.

MassBay accepts credit from military education and experience, as it applies to your choice of major.  Be sure to request that your military transcript be forwarded to MassBay.

Our Veterans' Affairs Coordinator, located in the Office of Student Development, can provide information on eligibility, requirements and application procedures.

The phone number is 781-239-2753.

“The professors here are so supportive of Veterans. They understand that we have underlying situations about why we’re missing class. The professors here really care, and that’s what keeps me coming back.” Read more >>
