This is your comprehensive resource for all matters related to student employment at MassBay Community College. The oversight of the student employment function is a collaborative process between the Student Employment Office (SEO), Financial Aid, Human Resources, Career Services and the Payroll Office.

Working at MassBay can be a very rewarding experience. The Student Employment Office (SEO) will assist you by providing information on job opportunities as well as important policy guidelines. By joining students and employers through the opportunity of student employment, your academic experience is enhanced with practical learning on the job in a supportive setting. Students gain valuable skills, have flexible working hours, and perform work that may relate to a future career.

Overview of Student Employment

Federal Work-Study (FWS Program)

Federal Work-Study is a federally funded, need-based program administered by MassBay Community College. It is designed to promote greater access to employment on-campus and also off-campus with select community organizations. Students gain meaningful work experience while helping the college meet staffing needs. Login to your Bay Navigator account and check your “To Do List” for the “Federal Work-Study eligible” indicator.
