Adjunct Faculty and Multicultural Mentoring Program Coordinator (MMP)

Arwa Alkhateeb Arwa Alkhateeb joined MassBay in 2006 as STEM adjunct faculty teaching Computer Science. In 2015, Dr. Alkhateeb participated in MassBay’s mentoring programs and initiated the Multicultural Mentoring Program (MMP) to assist students from different academic backgrounds and ethnicity in adjusting to the college’s new environment and ultimately succeed. Dr. Alkhateeb received her bachelor degree from Beirut University/Lebanon, her MBA in Strategic Information Systems from Nagoya University/Japan and her doctorate degree from Kyoto University/Japan in Environmental Studies and Medical Information Systems. Prior joining MassBay she worked as university educator, senior programmer, systems analyst, project manager and as liaison between Boston’s and Tokyo’s offices for a global software company. She was also working closely to assist foreign students in Japan via Nagoya Foreign Students Association (NUFSA) and Kyoto University International Student Committee (KUISC), in addition she was awarded the Kyoto Prefecture’s scholarship and the title of “Japan-Jordan Friendship Ambassador”.
