MassBay to Hold Annual Health Sciences Open Labs

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (March 29, 2019) – MassBay Community College will hold its 5th annual Health Sciences Open Labs on Saturday, April 6, 2019, 10am – 12pm on the Framingham campus. The Open Labs is an opportunity for prospective students to discover the exciting hands-on health programs, learn what to expect once enrolled in their program, and hear about possible career paths in this high-demand profession.

Visitors will be able to meet and talk with current students, faculty, and staff to learn about the degree and certificate programs available at MassBay, as well as the non-credit program offerings including: Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology, Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Technician, Central Processing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Coding, Medical Office Administrative Assistant, Phlebotomy, Nursing Assistant, Clinical Healthcare Informatics Certificate, Medical Interpreting and CPR Training. The Open Labs will include a tour of the campus, tours of the lab areas, a financial aid information table, student support services, on-the-spot admissions, and more. At a time when the healthcare industry is searching for employees who have skills in the rapidly growing health science fields, MassBay is providing a much needed source of workers who have the education and training to fill these critically important positions.

This event is free and open to the public. We encourage prospective students, business and industry professionals, community organizations, as well as local high school teachers and administrators to attend.
