MassBay Community College Offers Online Courses

WELLESLEY HILLS (January 4, 2016) – MassBay Community College announces spring semester begins on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 and students can take courses online as well as in-person at our three campuses located in Ashland, Framingham and Wellesley Hills.

“The rigor of our online programs is consistent with what students have come to expect from our in-person courses,” said MassBay Interim President Yves Salomon-Fernandez. “Whether students are completing a degree started long ago or preparing for grad school, we offer an array of online courses with the convenience of learning from home.”

MassBay currently offers 7 associate degree programs and 4 certificate programs students can take exclusively online, as well as 2 hybrid certificate programs students can take as a combination of in the classroom and online. The 7 associate degree programs that are offered online include; Business Administration (Associate in Science), General Business (Associate in Science), General Studies (Associate in Arts), General Studies (Associate in Science), Liberal Arts (Associate of Arts), Liberal Arts: Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology (Associate in Arts), and Paralegal Studies (Associate in Science). The 4 fully online certificate programs available include; Marketing, Management, High Tech Sales, and Paralegal Studies. Certificates in computer-Aided Design and Cyber Security courses are available as hybrid format certificate programs. Most other programs are available at least partially online.

MassBay offers a robust selection of online courses, including Financial Accounting, Biology, Global Business, Chemistry, Criminology, Computers and Technology, English, U.S. History, Marketing, Litigation for Paralegals, Spanish and more. Online courses are offered in the summer, fall and spring semesters, as well as offering evening and weekend options to fit student schedules. Students who complete online courses, learn the same course material as students who complete in-person classes.
