MassBay will be offering college credit classes at the Natick Community Center starting September 2nd.

At MassBay we are proud to be the most affordable college in MetroWest, and with this new location we intend to be the most convenient as well!

Choose from these two college credit courses:


These courses do not require the completion of prerequisite courses. As with most MassBay courses, the credits earned are transferable to many associate and bachelor degree and certificate programs in the region.


  • Exploring World Religions (HU 105-540) - Starts September 2
    This course compares what world religions believe about God, atheism, grace, karma, incarnation, reincarnation, heaven and hell, and what these beliefs contribute to our understanding of contemporary issues, including ecology, artistic expression, and global awareness.  3 Credits.
    Tuesday; 6:00 to 9:00 PM, September 2nd - December 21st.

  • Life Span Psychology (PS 118-540) - Starts September 3
    Examines regularly predicted physical, psychological, and emotional changes from conception through aging. Theories and concepts of the psychology of the life span are integrated. 3 Credits.

Learn Conversational Spanish! Great for travel purposes.
No previous experience required!

  • Conversational Spanish Workshop (AP 112-300) (Non-Credit) - Starts September 29
    This six-week immersion course is designed for students who have little or no experience speaking Spanish. The course aims to provide students with a full immersion approach toward language acquisition. Students will learn about their immediate world through speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish. Topics such as food, family, school clothing, and weather and leisure activities are covered. Students will learn present and future tenses and other grammatical elements.
    This is a non-credit class. Cost: $150.
    Monday; 7:00 to 9:00 PM, September 29th -December 8th.

Explore the Swing Era!

  • Images of Swing Music (WK 140-300) (Non-Credit) - Starts October 4
    This course will explore the relation of music and film during the Swing Era. We will be watching films featuring the personalitites of the time - Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw and many others. Topics will include the Soundies (three minute films meant to publicize artists by filming them playing their most popular recordings), Vitaphone shorts (longer films made from the beginning of the sound film era), theatrical films featuring musicians and even cartoons featuring both the images and music of notable personalities such as Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway and Ethel Merman.
    This is a non-credit class. Cost: $119.
    Saturday; 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, October 4th -November 22nd.
