Academic Achievement Center

  • Provides individual and group assistance with learning specialists and peer tutors in a wide range of subjects including math, biology, chemistry, computers, and English
  • Supports all aspects of placement testing

Academic Advising

  • Guides course selection, academic planning, and the selection of a major

Admissions Office

  • Administers applications to the College
  • Recruits new students
  • Hosts information sessions and open houses
Athletics and the Recreation & Wellness Center
  • Offers a variety of fitness classes, weight room, and open gym
  • Provides the opportunity to participate in competitive team sports

  • Offers MassBay apparel, school supplies, and snacks.
  • Sells a variety of textbook formats
  • Purchases selected textbooks through a buy-back program at the end of each semester
Career Services & Veteran Affairs
  • Helps explore careers, set goals and choose an academic major
  • Teaches resume & cover letter writing
  • Develops job search strategies

Counseling Services

  • Provides short-term personal/mental health counseling
  • Coordinates a student support network in mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and skills training

  • Coordinates on-campus cultural programming
Library Services

  • Offers reference services and library instruction
  • Houses books and journals to support research
  • Maintains access to electronic resources including online databases and e-books
  • Obtains articles and books from other libraries
  • Provides Wi-Fi equipped study space

Student Accounts Office

  • Collects charges, applies financial aid awards and issues refunds
  • Coordinates payment plan information
  • Helps students obtain textbooks prior to receipt of financial aid
  • Provides 1098T tax forms
  • Maintains and processes online waivers for health insurance, MassPirg, and the Textbook Endowment Fund
Student Activities & Orientation

  • Oversees student organizations and orientation
  • Advises the Student Government Association
  • Coordinates campus-wide events
  • Develops monthly activities calendar
  • Offers discounted sporting, cultural and event tickets
Student Development

  • Administers the Code of Conduct and the College Appeals Board
  • Coordinates the childcare reimbursement program
  • Maintains immunization records
  • Process medical leave and withdrawal
  • Coordinates Summer Scholars and Transitional Scholars programs
  • Offers gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender support services
