CS 113: Fundamentals of IT

See the MassBay Cisco Networking Academy Student Brochure

This course is based on the Cisco “IT Essentials” curriculum, and it doesn’t have any prerequisites (no programming involved). It prepares students for the CompTIA A+ certification and it can be used as an elective. Students will get a certificate from Cisco if they pass the course. It will be very useful for any student planning to go into the IT field, or anyone wanted to learn PC troubleshooting (software & hardware) and computer repair.

“The IT Essentials curriculum provides an introduction to the computer hardware and software skills needed to help meet the growing demand for entry-level information and communication technology (ICT) professionals. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software as well as advanced concepts such as security, networking, and the responsibilities of an ICT professional.”
