The Division of Transportation and Energy offers programs that are underwritten by the four major automotive brands (BMW, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Toyota-Lexus) o present expert knowledge to work on those cars as a factory-certified technician. The partnership with these four automotive brands provides in-depth, product-specific automotive technology programs that teach students how to pinpoint problems and complete repairs in the most effective manner.

The Automotive Technology Center in Ashland offers training on the most advanced diagnostic equipment and new cars in one of the premier automotive training centers in the New England region. Along with technical training, students develop skills in customer service and business management.

Students have the opportunity to work in the real world and earn a real paycheck while in school through the paid Co-operative Education program. MassBay’s automotive program has a better than 98 percent placement rate of graduates into full-time jobs. Upon completion of degree programs, graduates receive an Associate of Science degree.
