Staff – Title III Core Team

Craig E. Mack, Ed.D., Project Director
Craig is responsible for the implementation of the Title III Grant. His primary role is to establish and provide effective project management, work with an advisory board and other institutional groups in accomplishing the objectives of the grant, and administrative oversight at the Federal level.


Craig has nearly twenty years in higher education leadership; and has been a part of the MassBay community since 2007. He has also served as the President of a national higher education association that provides education, leadership, and professional development in the fields of college student orientation, transition, and retention (NODA).

Kim Trauceniek, M.A., Retention Coordinator
Kim is responsible for coordinating the retention efforts at the College. She will work with departments to identify and implement retention strategies to improve student success. She will also assess programs and measure outcomes and make recommendations accordingly.


Kim has more than 10 years experience in higher education administration including academic advising, outreach and program development, educational research, and business management. Prior to coming to MassBay, Kim served as the Sophomore Advising Coordinator and an Academic Adviser at Harvard College’s Eliot House.

Lori Weir, M.Ed., Instructional Designer
Lori will provide instructional design expertise for the development and support of academic courses and special programs, and coordinate professional development.

Lori has over twelve years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education and extensive experience providing training and technical expertise to faculty. Lori has served as a project manager on a National Science Foundation Advance Technology Education grant and Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Career and Vocational Technical Education grant and, as a team leader on two Title III Design Teams. Lori received her A.A. in Business Administration from Middlesex Community College, her B.S. in Business Education from Salem State College and her M.Ed. in Technology in Education from Lesley University. Lori was the recipient of the Massachusetts Colleges Online Course of Distinction, "COD" Award in 2009.

Linda Grisham, Ph.D., Director, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology Innovation
Dr. Linda Grisham established the College’s Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology Innovation in the Fall of 2010. The Center works with full and part-time faculty individually or in groups as they revise courses, develop course assignments and assessments, and adopt teaching strategies that are student-centered, incorporate universal course design principles, and address MassBay’s updated graduation competencies.

A biochemist with a doctorate in Pharmacology from Stanford University, Dr. Grisham has conducted medical research and has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses (physics, chemistry, modeling complex systems, pharmacology, and science education). She has worked over the years as a research scientist, science educator, curriculum developer, financial planner, community activist, and radio commentator. Linda serves on several local, regional, and national science advisory boards whose primary goal is to increase number of students pursuing STEM careers.

Elissa Lu, M.Ed., Institutional Research Analyst
Elissa assists with data analysis, reporting, and evaluation activities as part of MassBay’s commitment to student success under Title III. In her role, Elissa works with colleagues in the Office of Institutional Planning, Research and Assessment office, as well as faculty and staff to identify trends in students’ experiences and participation at MassBay to support continuous improvement efforts.

Elissa has nearly ten years of experience in higher education consulting, strategy, evaluation, and policy. She has served as an analyst at the higher education research and consulting firm, Eduventures, by leading research briefs, customized analyses, and webinars on current issues of interest to dozens of higher education institutions.

Elissa graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.A. in Psychology and earned her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Currently, Elissa is a Ph.D. student in Boston College's Higher Education Administration program.
