Office of Strategic Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and Grants Development

Purpose and Functions

The Office of Strategic Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and Grants Development serves the following areas: strategic planning, strategic external relations, grants development, institutional effectiveness, and college-wide regional accreditation. Working with the President, College leadership, and the Board of Trustees, it oversees implementation, monitoring, and reporting on the College's Strategic Plan. Additionally, the Office’s staff holds responsibility for planning and recommending strategies to assess the extent to which the College achieves its strategic goals and those of the Vision Project, and projecting how the College fares relative to the Commonwealth’s Community College Funding Model.

The Office is also responsible for all institutional research activities, responding to data requests from external audiences, including state and federal agencies; and administering institution-wide surveys to faculty, staff, and students, including the CCSSE and the CCSFE. Lastly, the Office works with the Provost Office and division Deans in assessing student learning outcomes across the College and coordinates the College's accreditation process.
