Please join us for a presentation on Black History Month by Dr. Meikle Paschal. Meikle Paschal was born and raised in the lower Roxbury section of Boston. He later completed his doctorate in Education leadership from UMass Boston and currently teaches courses in English, Philosophy and Composition at Middlesex and MassBay. Dr. Paschal recently shared his personal journey through his book The Black Buddhist. In this transformative work Meikle Paschal presents an energizing, unadulterated depiction of his growth and development as an African-American man seeking to achieve and define his existence.

Dr. Meikle Paschal in sharing his personal journey from the projects in Boston, gives hope to the disenfranchised and most vulnerable; our children, daring us to embrace alternative possibilities and make choices that break old patterns often leading to negative behavior, dashed dreams and sometimes despair.
