MassBay to Hold Automotive Technology SMILE Day

ASHLAND, MA (December 27, 2016) — MassBay Community College will hold an Automotive Technology SMILE (Student Manufacturer’s Intern Lab Experience) Day and Information Session on Saturday, January 7, 2017 10AM at the MassBay Automotive Technology Center in Ashland. The goal of SMILE Day is to expose newly accepted students, prospective students and their families to our automotive labs. The information session will start at 10 a.m. and prospective students will learn about our training center, our four sponsored major automotive brands; BMW, Toyota/Lexus, General Motors and JEEP/Chrysler/Dodge/Ram, and our product-specific Associate Degree and Certificate programs. Guests will learn how to attend debt-free with available scholarships, our co-op program which pays students while they are in the 21-month Associate Degree program, our 99% job placement rate for graduates upon graduation and more. Students will then have the opportunity to participate in two separate instructor-led hands-on lab experiences, giving all the visitors a well-rounded look into our automotive program. Students are able to participate in one or two lab experiences, but space is limited and visitors must register in advance to participate. Parents and family members are encouraged to participate alongside their children if they would like to experience the program.
