Wellesley Symphony Orchestra

The Wellesley Symphony Orchestra (WSO) presents its 63rd season of entertaining programs for enthusiastic audiences. This season is the WSO’s 28th as Orchestra-in-Residence at MassBay Community College. Max Hobart, who has shaped its artistic direction since 1993, conducts the Symphony. Many well known names in Boston musical circles have been associated with the WSO over the years, including Arthur Fiedler, who led the orchestra in 1958 to mark its 10th anniversary. Narrators over the years have included Joan Kennedy, Liz Walker, William Bulger, Dixie Whatley, and Nora Hussey.

Each concert takes place at 3 PM in the John McKenzie Auditorium on the Wellesley Hills campus, and most feature a pre-concert talk at 2:15. Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and free for children under 12. Tickets are free to all MassBay staff, faculty, and students.
