Whitney has taught at the college level for 5 years and at Massachusetts Bay Community College since Fall of 2011. Whitney's primary academic interests focus on the study of the modern philosophical period, including philosophers such as Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Hegel, Marx, and earlier authors such as Hume, and Kant. Whitney attended graduate school at the University of Connecticut, where he received a MA in International Studies and he has completed all of the course work for the PhD in Political Philosophy, also at the University of Connecticut.  Whitney was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and currently lives in the Northeast corner of Connecticut.
