|Mr. Richard Haskell is Vice President for Administration and Finance/CFO at MassBay Community College. In this capacity, he serves as Chief Financial Officer and oversees all fiscal operations and planning. As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Haskell also oversees the areas of Fiscal Affairs, Purchasing, Information Technology, Facilities and Security at MassBay. Mr. Haskell joined MassBay in 2006 as Controller, and served as Interim President of MassBay during the search for our current president. |
A member of the senior leadership, Mr. Haskell’s work provides key financial performance statistics that help senior management effectively manage the College and its resources, meet the Strategic Goals of the College, and serve the best interests of the students.
Mr. Haskell also serves as Chair of the Massachusetts Community College Council of Administrative Vice Presidents and Deans, and facilitates the Community Colleges in their exchange of best practices and professional development. He also is a representative on the Board of Higher Education Partnership to Advance Collaboration and Efficiency (PACE) Taskforce, which serves to identify and implement best practices to increase levels of efficiency, increase productivity, and improve delivery of services to constituents. In 2011 he co-chaired the committee that prepared and put out the bid for audit services for the state universities and community colleges. He also serves on the Finance and Audit Committee of the Partnerships for a Skilled Workforce, Inc., which partners with MassBay. He also has been a member and past chair of the investment committee of his church.
Prior to his tenure at MassBay, Mr. Haskell was Vice President and Controller at New England College of Finance in Boston for 13 years, where he also served as Treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees.
Mr. Haskell received his MBA from UMASS Boston, and completed his undergraduate work at Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, N.H. Mr. Haskell is a resident of the South Shore where he resides with his wife and son.
