Matt Walsh is an Associate Professor of English at MassBay Community College, where he has taught since 2002. He enjoys teaching writing and literature, creative writing, and ESL courses, and is especially interested in trans-media literacy and playful learning.

Matt is also a curriculum and game designer for the Learning Games Network, a spin-off of the MIT Education Arcade. He’s currently working on an English language-learning game named Xenos.

Before coming to MassBay, Matt taught English in Niigata, Japan through the JET Program.

Matt’s interests include writing fiction, scuba diving, Japanese literature, and Sci-fi movies without Kevin Costner. He lives in Wayland, MA with his fabulous wife and two children.
