|Working at the college summoned Joe to return to the teaching profession. Previously Joe taught for more than twenty- five years before returning to teaching as an adjunct professor in Critical Thinking. (CT100). Joe also manages the Copy Center/Mailroom at the college. |
One of Joe's loves is being the Director of the New Hampshire Boys State Program for the American Legion. It is a program for young men that have completed their Junior year in High School. Students participate in a program that allows them to establish their own “51st State” and elect their own officials. If they complete the course, which is 24/7 for one week at Rivier University, they may apply for three college credits. It is one way of achieving three college credits that may be used later in their college career. The program is free to students.
Joe is also the Chief Steward for AFSCME (American Federation of State County, and Municipal Employees) at MassBay. This position includes representing the members in a variety of different ways here and at the State level.
One of Joe's other loves is that of a “Touring” judge for Marching Bands, Drum and Bugle Corps, and Indoor Winter Guard. It has taken him to 49 of the 50 states as well as a number of foreign countries.
