University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and College of Letters (Philosophy, History and Literature) from Wesleyan University. In addition, she has taken graduate courses in pedagogy at Teachers College and Harvard Graduate School of Education and in both computer information systems and human factors in design at Bentley University. Before coming to MassBay in 2002, she taught at Bentley University, The American University and Scarsdale Alternative School and worked as a writer for Touchstone Applied Sciences. 

Professor Simon teaches Critical Thinking, Writing and, occasionally, Philosophy at MassBay. She incorporates her interests in science, politics, the arts and travel into her classes by having students complete projects in which they investigate contemporary world problems.
