Mr. Faulkner, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Bay Community College Foundation and Director of Alumni Affairs brings to his position extensive experience in development and public relations.

He spent 3 years as the Chief Development Officer for Shriners Hospitals for Children in Boston and Springfield Massachusetts. During his tenure he built a new department and instituted a variety of new and innovative fundraising programs.

In 2006 Mr. Faulkner served as Director of Development for Save Our Sound, The Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound, an environmental nonprofit organization on Cape Cod. Previously, he was Director of Development with the Sisters of St. Joseph in Boston for eight years, and also served as the Executive Director of the Cathedral of the Pines Foundation of Rindge, NH for five years. Before that, he was Vice President of Development and Corporate Relations for Northeast Health Foundation and the Northeast Health Healthcare System in Rockport, Maine for five years. Prior to being recruited to Maine, he was Vice President of Development and Public Relations for St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA, for three years.

After a stint working for the National Security Agency in Laurel, MD with the Marine Corps in the middle 1960s, Mr. Faulkner owned and operated an advertising and public relations agency for nearly 14 years, working with many corporations and non-profit organizations throughout New England.

A graduate of Boston University's School of Public Communication, and Sussex College where he received his MBA, Mr. Faulkner is an avid blue water sailor, bibliophile and lover of the cinema. He and his wife Barbara have three sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandchildren.
