David J. Alpert began teaching Critical Thinking at MassBay Community College around the beginning of the twenty-first century. He has also taught a diverse array of college courses previously at Northern Essex Community College, North Shore Community College, and Middlesex Community College. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University in Philosophy. He also received a Master of Science in Education from Binghamton University. Most recently, he has received a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Rhode Island College. David J. Alpert is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. For many years he has served as an Editorial Board Reviewer for The Person-Centered Journal. His theory of effective counseling (“We-Rhythm Therapy) was published in The Person-Centered Journal in 1995. His Master’s Thesis “Beyond Sodadi and Morabeza: A Study of Cape Verdeanness in Postcolonial Cape Verdean Poetry” was published on the World Wide Web in 2013 by Rhode Island College Digital Commons.
