Transfer Advising
Welcome to the Transfer Advising Website!
MassBay Community College is committed to assisting students in furthering their education beyond the Associate Degree. Transfer Advising (located in Academic Advising) has great resources to assist students in making informed choices about their academic plan, in order to make a smooth transition to a 4-year institution.
Student Transfer Guide
There are many questions regarding the transfer process and it's important that students take the appropriate time to review institutions, campus life, and most importantly academic programs. To help with this process, Transfer Advising has created a Student Transfer Guide for MassBay students.
All students planning to transfer are asked to read the Student Transfer Guide. This booklet will explain all aspects of the transfer process including, selecting a major, comparing / review of academic curriculum, maximizing transfer credit, transfer programs, application questions and most importantly, what to do after receiving an acceptance letter.

Transfer WorkshopsAll students interested in transferring to another school are instructed to attend a transfer workshop early in their academic career at MassBay. During the workshop, students will learn how to ensure they are selecting appropriate courses for transfer, general information about the transfer process and transfer programs, as well as have an opportunity to ask questions directly with a Transfer Counselor.
Students must attend a workshop first, before seeking an individual appointment with a Transfer Counselor. Please check below Transfer Workshop dates.
To sign up for a Transfer Workshop, please call Academic Advising at 781-239-2775. Workshops highlighted in yellow on the Transfer Calendar are not available at this time.
Transfer Advising Staff has made the following resources and documents available to MassBay students to assist them with all aspects of the transfer process. It is recommend, that all students download and read through these forms before attending a transfer workshop or meeting with a transfer counselor.
