HESI PREPARATION WORKSHOP
FOR NURSING STUDENTS

Through the Academic Achievement Center (AAC), MassBay will be offering current students a workshop covering test-taking strategies and subject review prior to taking the HESI A2 exam. The Health Education Systems Inc. Admissions Assessment (HESI A2) is required for admission to the Associate Degree Science in Nursing (ADN) and to the Practical Nursing programs at MassBay. The exam assesses an applicant’s academic readiness and is a predictor for success in the first year of an ADN program. A minimum exam score of 75% or better in all academic subtest scores is required except in Chemistry, which requires a subtest score of at least 65%. The Physics subtest is not required. For the LPN program, there is no stated “passing score”, but consideration for admission will be given to all applicants whose scores are better than 70% in the Overall Composite (all five academic exams combined/averaged).

At this workshop, you will develop test-taking strategies, review all subjects, and receive practice questions to take home so that you can pass the HESI.

NOTE: We advise you to purchase the review book available at the MassBay bookstore or online: Evolve Reach Admission Assessment Exam Review, 3rd Edition.

Wellesley Hills Campus:
Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 3-5pm in Library Conference Room B, 2nd floor

Framingham Campus:
Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2-4pm in Conference Room 323, 3rd floor
