Who qualifies for a ONE Card?
To qualify for a MassBay BUC$ ONE Card, you must be a MassBay student registered for at least one credit course or a current employee of the College.



Why would I need a ONE Card?
In addition to serving as the College’s official photo ID card, the ONE Card provides access to library services through Minuteman Library Network, Recreation and Wellness Center, used to make on campus purchases.




Do MASSBAY BUC$ carry over or expire?
MASSBAY BUC$ carry over from semester to semester and from year to year as long as you remain an active student or employee. If you take a semester off, you will need to obtain a refund for any unused funds or they will expire 4 months after your relationship with MassBay is terminated. Student cards are active 2 years from issue date; Employee cards are active for 4 years from issue date.



What if my MASSBAY BUC$ ONE Card is lost, stolen or damaged?

If your ONE Card is lost, stolen or damaged, you MUST report it immediately to the ONE Card Office at 781-239-2518 during business hours or to Campus Police at 781-239- 2699 outside of normal business hours. You can also deactivate it at www.massbay.edu/eaccounts. If your ONE Card should be lost, stolen or damaged, you can receive one free replacement card. For all additional replacement cards, your MASSBAY BUC$ account will be charged a $25 replacement fee. Funds must be available prior to the replacement card being issued. If you find your original card after it has been replaced, destroy the card or bring it to the ONE Card office to be shredded. Refunds will not be issued for found cards.



Will I get a refund for unused funds?
Refunds are available when your relationship with MassBay Community College is terminated (either through graduation, withdrawal, expulsion, or leaving employment). A ONE Card Refund Request form must be completed and received by the MASSBAY BUC$ ONE Card Office. A $25 refund processing fee will be charged to the account. Refunds can take up to 2-4 weeks. Cardholders with a balance of $25 or less in their account are encouraged to spend the balance on campus.



Can I punch a hole in my ONE Card?
No! If a hole is punched in the card you will damage it and it will no longer work. Here are some other things to avoid.
DO NOT:

  • Punch holes in the card
  • Mark or bend card
  • Scratch the strip of the card
  • Place next to magnets
  • Lend to others
  • Use as a tool to pry things open


Where can I use my Library Card?
Not only does your ONE Card work in the Wellesley Hills and Framingham libraries, but it also grants you access to the entire Minuteman Library Network. The Minuteman Library Network is a consortium of 42 libraries with 61 locations and a Central Site staff that work collectively to provide excellent service to its library users. The members include 35 public and 7 college libraries in the Metrowest region of Massachusetts. For more information, please reference their website at http://www.mln.lib.ma.us/. Borrowing privileges may be suspended due to excessive fines or overdue materials.
