International Students

Did you know that students from Haiti, Russia, Brazil, Uganda, India and many other countries have selected MassBay for their educational pursuits? In fact, 3% of our student body is comprised of International Students. If you are an international student, an admissions representative is available to assist you in the International Student application process.

In addition to meeting our basic admission requirements of an earned high school diploma or equivalent, associate degree or higher, international students need to provide us with the following:

  • Proof of high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Notarized statements of financial support showing at least $22,881 U.S. dollars;
  • A completed immunization form;
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores of 500 or better;
  • A written request for an I-20 Form to the Office of Admissions.

All foreign documentation must be translated and evaluated to U.S. standards before being submitted to MassBay.  You can use The Center for Educational Documentation, or for a list of other credential evaluation agencies, click here.

As an International Student, you'll need to maintain a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester and 24 credits per year. Based on these requirements, here's an estimated breakdown on college tuition, fees and other costs for a full academic year.

The tuition and fees listed above are subject to change, since MassBay reserves the right to make adjustments in tuition and fees. The tuition and fees amount represents the non-Massachusetts resident tuition. At this time, International Students are not eligible to apply for financial aid at MassBay.

MassBay does not offer student housing, however the Office of International Education and Study Abroad Programs may be able to direct international students to agencies that can help them find housing.
