Transfer Advising
You will enjoy a smooth transition to a four-year college with Transfer Advising. The Transfer Library in the Advising Center is your one-stop resource for college applications, catalogs and internet sites for most local four-year colleges and universities. Also, a Transfer Counselor is available to assist you with the transfer process, from beginning to end. Simply contact the Advising Center and schedule an appointment with the Transfer Counselor.
The Advising Center is the place to obtain information about the MassTransfer program which guarantees that students who graduate from an approved academic program can transfer to the University of Massachusetts or a Massachusetts state college upon graduation from MassBay. In addition to MassTransfer, MassBay has developed multiple Transfer Agreements (Articulation Agreements) with several local and regional institutions.
Throughout the entire academic school year, MassBay students have the option to attend many different transfer events or workshops to be informed about the transfer process. Every year MassBay holds Transfer Fairs, inviting over 35 colleges and universities on campus. Individual college visits are also held on a monthly basis throughout the year. Transfer Advising holds several transfer events and workshops to provide student school year MassBay hosts a number of local colleges that meet with students to discuss the possibility of transferring to their institution. Transfer Fairs are also held during each school year.
Notices are posted on the transfer bulletin boards outside the Wellesley Hills and Framingham Advising Centers, on the plasma screens and sent via student campus email. Please clean out your email trash bin on a daily basis to make sure you get up to date information regarding transfer.
If you plan on transferring after completing your studies at MassBay, be sure to meet with a Transfer Counselor early in your studies at MassBay.
