Joint Admissions
The Joint Admissions program is available to MassBay students who enrolled prior to the Fall 2009 semester. Joint Admissions is being replaced by the new MassTransfer program. Students currently enrolled in approved Joint Admissions programs must complete their course work by August 2013 and enroll in a four-year institution by Fall 2014 to use Joint Admissions benefits
The Joint Admissions Program is an agreement between the community colleges of Massachusetts and the four campuses of UMASS and the eight state colleges. It guarantees state college or university admission to eligible students who meet certain requirements. Joint Admission guarantees admission to specific programs at the University of Massachusetts and state colleges.
Eligibility
Students enrolled in designated programs at Massachusetts community colleges are eligible. Students who have previously attended a state college or one of the four campuses of UMASS may not participate in a Joint Admissions program with that college or campus. If you graduate in an eligible program with a minimum GPA of 2.5, you will receive the benefits of Joint Admissions when you matriculate at the four-year school. If you graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, you will receive a tuition discount at the four-year school
How to participate
You will need to submit an Intent to Enroll form to the four-year college during your last semester at MassBay. This form can be found online or in Academic Advising
