Scholarships for New MassBay Students

MassBay scholarships for new, incoming students require that an application be submitted to the MassBay Office of Admissions.

How to Fill In PDF Applications

To fill out these applications on your computer, click on link to the application form. You will see the application form open in a new window. Click the “download” icon  [  ]  you see on the upper right of the window with the application. It will download a PDF to the Downloads folder of your computer. Double-click the file, open it in Acrobat Reader, and click the button on the right side that says Fill & Sign. Type into the application form fields with your computer keyboard. Please print out the form and mail it to the address listed.

Dual Enrollment Scholarship

This scholarship was established to support a junior or senior that is either home schooled or enrolled in a high school in MassBay’s service area. Cities and towns include: Ashland, Bellingham, Belmont, Brookline, Dedham, Dover, Franklin, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Medway, Medfield, Millis, Natick, Needham, Newton, Norfolk, Norwood, Sherborn, Sudbury, Waltham, Watertown, Wayland, Wellesley, Weston, Westwood, and Wrentham. A $500 scholarship is awarded for the fall or spring semester to a high school junior or senior enrolled in the MassBay Dual Enrollment Program.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts resident
  • Enrolled in a MassBay service area high school or home schooled
  • Minimum high school cumulative GPA 2.5
  • Enrolled in MassBay Dual Enrollment Program
  • Registered in a college-level course in the fall or spring semester at MassBay

AWARD: A $500 scholarship is awarded for the fall or spring semester to a high school junior or senior in MassBay’s service area enrolled in MassBay Dual Enrollment Program. This scholarship may be used for tuition, mandatory fees, and books.

John F. McKenzie Scholarship

John F. McKenzie was the founding President of MassBay Community College in 1961, and served as President until his retirement in 1983. This scholarship was established to support a graduating senior from a public high school in MassBay’s service area. Cities and towns include: Ashland, Bellingham, Belmont, Brookline, Dedham, Dover, Franklin, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Medway, Medfield, Millis, Natick, Needham, Newton, Norfolk, Norwood, Sherborn, Sudbury, Waltham, Watertown, Wayland, Wellesley, Weston, Westwood, and Wrentham. A $500 scholarship is awarded for the fall semester to one graduating high school senior from each city and town in MassBay’s service area.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts resident
  • Graduating senior from a public high school accredited in MassBay’s service area Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits in college-level classes in the fall semester at MassBay

AWARD: A $500 scholarship is awarded for the fall semester to one graduating high school senior from each city and town in MassBay’s service area. This scholarship may be used for tuition, mandatory fees, and books.

John F. McKenzie Scholarship Application

President’s Scholars Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes academically superior graduating high school students entering MassBay Community College. The purpose of this scholarship is to attract and retain local academic scholars to MassBay. The scholarship is awarded for two (2) academic years for four (4) consecutive semesters at MassBay, a $2500 scholarship for each semester.

The Number of recipients awarded each year is determined by the Foundation Board of Directors and is contingent on fund balance.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts resident
  • Graduating senior from a high school accredited by the Massachusetts Department of Education
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 and/or in the top 10% of his/her graduating class
  • Declared major pursuing an associate degree at MassBay
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits in college-level classes each semester at MassBay. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA to receive the second semester award.

AWARD: The scholarship is awarded for two (2) academic years for four (4) consecutive semesters at MassBay, a $2500 scholarship for each semester. The recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits in college-level classes and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA to receive the second semester award.

President’s Scholars Scholarship Application

Automotive Technology Scholarship

This scholarship opportunity was established to assist students enrolled in any of the MassBay Automotive Technology Programs with tuition, mandatory fees, tools and/or books. $500 and $1000 scholarship(s) are awarded for the fall semester.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  • United States resident
  • Enrolled in an Automotive Technology Program
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits in award semester

AWARD: $500-$1000 scholarships are awarded for the fall semester. This scholarship may be used for tuition, mandatory fees, tools, and books.

Nurse Assistant Program Scholarship

This scholarship was established to support students pursuing a career in Health Sciences who need financial assistance during the Nurse Assistant Training Program. It is designed to assist individuals to start or re-start their education to reach higher levels of employability. Scholarship awards vary depending on funding.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts resident
  • Enrolled in the Nursing Assistant Program
  • Faculty or employer letter of recommendation

AWARD: $500–$1000
$500-1000 scholarships are awarded for the fall, spring, or summer semester. Number of scholarships and amount of scholarships are dependent on funding. This scholarship may be used for tuition, mandatory fees, and books.
