February 19, 2014 - FAFSA 101

Chuck Spirou, Senior Financial Aid Counselor at MassBay, discusses tips on filling out the FAFSA and why it is important for prospective students to complete a FAFSA. The FAFSA code for MassBay is: 002171

Prospective students should call the MassBay Financial Aid office at (781) 239-2600 for dates of the free FAFSA workshops held at both the Wellesley Hills and Framingham campuses.

Each year the FAFSA information is based on the previous tax year return and W2s, so for example, for the May 2014 deadline, students should bring 2013 tax returns and W2s.

Health and Fitness Career: MassBay has partnered with Witts Education to offer both Personal Training Certification and Group Fitness Certification. Non-Credit ESL at MassBay: MassBay offers English as a Second Language (ESL) non-credit courses for English language learners. All levels are offered and these classes are great for anyone who wants to improve their English skills. There is also an Advanced Pathway ESL to prepare students who would like to take college credit courses and TOEFL preparation as well.





Journey Through North America: This extremely popular program was created for Au Pairs to satisfy their education requirement, but is open to all. Once on campus at MassBay, students should work with an advisor to map out their time at MassBay to align with the MassTransfer Program.
