Nursing Program Offerings

Nursing Students
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program at MassBay is designed to prepare students for a career in nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN). Day and Evening options are available to meet student needs. After completion of the required coursework, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

  • Practical Nursing (PN) Program
Practical nurses provide nursing care for medical surgical patients in the hospital/or skilled nursing facility. MassBay’s PN program is only 12-15 months long, including both lecture and lab/clinical practice. Classes are offered during both days (10-month program) and evenings (16-month program). After the completion of the required coursework, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).

  • Nursing Assistant Program
Nurse Assistants perform vital hygiene and daily living functions of patients in their care. They are also responsible for positioning and transporting patients, obtaining vital signs, maintaining a clean and safe living environment, and for monitoring the overall health and safety of their patients. In just 8 weekends, MassBay prepares Nurse Assistant Training students for the Red Cross Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation (NACE) test, an important step in finding employment in the field.
